Tree & Grounds Services for Isle of Wight Councils & Parish Councils

Professional tree surgery and grounds maintenance for local authorities and parish councils across the Isle of Wight. From highway trees and public open spaces to routine maintenance, safety inspections and emergency storm response, we provide fully managed, compliant services with clear documentation, dependable communication and free written quotations.

Public trees are your responsibility. The paperwork is ours.

Trees on highway verges, footpaths and village greens form part of a council's duty of care, and each project must remain accountable after completion. Bruce is an NPTC City & Guilds qualified tree surgeon, every cut follows BS 3998:2010 and we keep a clear work record for residents, auditors and insurers.

We work regularly within the Island's planning system. TPO and conservation-area applications go to County Hall, and we prepare and submit them before carrying out the approved work in accordance with the consent.

What we handle for councils and parish councils

Regular work for councils and parish clerks, priced in writing before it begins.

Highway and footpath trees

Deadwooding, crown reductions, clearance for sight lines and signage, and removals where a tree is unsafe over a road or path. Signage, exclusion zones and traffic awareness on every public-facing job.

TPO and conservation applications

We prepare and submit Tree Preservation Order and conservation-area applications to County Hall on your behalf, then carry out the approved work exactly as consented, with the paperwork on file.

Scheduled maintenance

Planned inspection and maintenance rounds across trees and green spaces, scheduled through the year so identified work can be addressed before it becomes urgent. The same crew maintains continuity and records each visit.

Storm response

When a tree comes down over a road, a path or a property, we attend to make the site safe. We clear the timber under our EA waste carrier registration and log what was done.

Rated 5.0 on Google

Bruce turned up when he said he would and did the job he said he would, and more. He also dealt with the application paperwork and kept us informed. I will be using this company again.
