Overgrown vegetation can compromise an inspection by restricting sight lines, narrowing footways or concealing gullies beneath leaf litter. We clear growth and restore access to the affected assets. Bruce is NPTC City & Guilds qualified, with a City & Guilds groundsman and a CSCS groundworker on the crew, allowing one Island team to manage vegetation, drainage and groundwork under a single scope. Every tree cut follows BS 3998:2010, with the supporting records provided on completion.
RAMS are written for the site before work begins, and waste records are kept under our Environment Agency waste carrier registration. Whether the work forms a planned programme across several sites or a reactive call-out on a failed route, we apply the same documented method and provide clear records to support the next inspection.

We cut back growth encroaching on carriageways, footways, access roads and visibility splays, so routes stay clear and sight lines open for the next inspection.
Groundwork and drainage
We clear and reinstate ditches, gullies and soakaways, and lay land drainage so surface water moves off the route instead of standing on it.
Car parks and access surfaces
Sub-base, edging and surfacing for car parks, hardstanding and access roads, compacted to carry the traffic the site takes.
Security fencing
Boundary and security fencing set on concrete-posted lines, to close off, secure or reinstate the edge of a site or an access point.

Insurance for the works
Public liability cover is in place, and the certificate goes to your team on request.
RAMS before we start
We issue risk assessments and method statements written for your site, and agree access, working method and any site traffic awareness beforehand.
Waste documented
Arisings and spoil are removed and disposed of, with waste transfer records kept as an EA registered waste carrier.
Work recorded
Before-and-after photographs and a written record of what was cleared are available on request, so the work stands up at the next inspection.
BS 3998:2010 method
All tree work follows British Standard BS 3998:2010, named on the quotation so the method is on record before work starts.

A protected oak at Adgestone, cleared and signed off
A protected oak in Adgestone was subject to a Tree Preservation Order, so work could not begin until consent was in place. We handled the application paperwork, kept the client informed, dismantled the tree sectionally and removed all timber under our waste carrier registration. Infrastructure projects receive the same approach: consents managed before work starts, a safe sectional method on site and complete waste records at handover.
