Our Story and Local Roots

Penny’s Tree Surgery & Landscaping was founded in 2025 by Bruce Penny, a lifelong islander with more than 15 years’ experience in tree surgery, landscaping, and arboriculture. His goal was simple – to offer a high-quality, responsive service that local homeowners could rely on. Since then, the team has grown to include Steve and Max, bringing together over 65 years of combined expertise. Every member of the team lives on the island and understands the land, climate, and community inside and out. From garden transformations to complex tree removals, we treat every job with care and commitment – just as we would for our own homes.
